Why I Send People To My Blog First

Why I Send People To My Blog First

For a long time, I thought the goal was simple:

Get people to click a link.

Like many beginners, I believed that more clicks automatically meant more success.

Over time, I realized something important.

A click doesn’t mean much if the person doesn’t know who you are, what you believe, or why you’re recommending something.

That’s one of the reasons I started focusing more on my blog.

My Blog Is More Than A Website

My blog isn’t just a place to post articles.

It’s a place where people can learn:

  • Who I am
  • What I’ve learned
  • The mistakes I’ve made
  • The path I’m following

When someone visits my blog, they get to know the person behind the recommendation.

I believe that’s important.

Trust Takes Time

Most people don’t buy something the first time they see it.

They want to know:

  • Can I trust this person?
  • Do they understand my situation?
  • Are they trying to help me or just sell me something?

A blog helps answer those questions.

Every article gives visitors a chance to learn more about you and your journey.

Why I Created My Start Here Page

Recently, I created a Start Here page on my blog.

I wanted a place where new visitors could quickly understand what Success With Dennis is all about.

The page explains:

  • Why I believe in keeping things simple
  • Why beginners often get overwhelmed
  • What I’ve learned from my own experiences
  • The path I’m currently following

Instead of immediately sending people to an offer, I can now send them to a page that helps them understand my approach first.

Engagement Matters More Than Traffic

I used to think more traffic was always the answer.

Now I believe engagement matters just as much.

I’d rather have 50 people who are genuinely interested in what I have to say than 500 people who don’t care.

When visitors read my content, click around my site, and come back later, that’s a sign that something is connecting.

My Blog Is An Asset

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that my blog is an asset.

Every article I write adds to that asset.

Every page I create adds to that asset.

Every visitor who learns something useful adds value to that asset.

That’s why I’m focusing on building Success With Dennis instead of simply chasing clicks.

Final Thoughts

I’m still learning every day.

But one thing I know for sure is that I want to build trust before I make recommendations.

That’s why I send people to my blog first.

The more people understand who I am and what I stand for, the better chance I have of helping the right people find the right path.

Take care,

Dennis Heikkinen
